At the helm is not only the director and founder of the foundation but also the writer’s daughter, Eva Lustigová. Her energy and enthusiasm inspire those around her to do their best and show that love, hope, and faith endure.

CEO of the Arnošt Lustig Foundation
Eva Lustigová is an experienced manager at the United Nations, as well as a producer, director, writer, and occasional translator of her world-renowned father’s works. She is also the founder and CEO of the Arnošt Lustig Foundation. She has decades of management consulting experience in developing countries and with the World Health Organization. With unwavering energy and enthusiasm, she contributes to foundation projects that promote humanistic ideals and honor the values Arnošt Lustig championed throughout his life and work. She is also the author and editor of publications and documentary films portraying his personality and the values and principles he stood for.

Mgr. Soňa Hušek Morawitzová
Event Coordinator
She studied Social Pedagogy at Charles University and has long been involved in issues related to the elderly population and promoting intergenerational dialogue. She has experience in project management, team leadership, and organizational management. She is involved in FestivAL’s activities as a coordinator of selected events in Prague because she believes in the value of sharing experiences, humanism, and the ideas of A. Lustig—ideas that are important to preserve and pass on to younger generations.

Teacher
Andrea Wendlíková graduated from the Faculty of Education at Masaryk University, where she studied Czech language and literature with a focus on social sciences. She has dedicated the past 25 years to education and teaching, working with children and adults. She is currently a member of the leadership team at an elementary school in Prague.”
Mgr. Filip Komberec, Ph.D.
University lecturer
Filip Komberec is a university lecturer in the Department of Czech Literature at Charles University’s Faculty of Education. He teaches literature didactics and children’s and young adult literature, and he supervises teaching practice. He also teaches workshops at the Milan Kundera Library and the Didaktikon Education Center. Currently, he is creating literary lessons for the Arnošt Lustig Foundation, an endeavor he views as a wonderful opportunity to promote education in values and humanity.
Bc. Pavel Urban, DiS.
Journalist, lecturer
Pavel Urban is an experienced journalist and a lecturer at the College of Journalism, where he previously studied. He created the Handbook of Journalistic Genres with Arnošt Lustig and students from the college to promote media literacy among young people. Urban was part of the founding team of the Mediafax news agency as an editor and has spent the past ten years working for the daily newspaper Metro.

Tereza Kerhartová graduated from Charles University in Prague’s Faculty of Education with a degree in primary school teaching. She has worked in education for over ten years. She is experienced in creating study materials and textbooks, proofreading, lecturing, and translating.

Mgr. Gabriela K. Sharma
Historian, translator
Gabriela K. Sharma is a translator, writer, and historian. She studied art history, focusing on photography, in New York, and then Middle Eastern history and modern Hebrew at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. The translation of two volumes of Prague Stolpersteine: Remembering Despite Forgetting, to be an important milestone in her career as a translator. She currently works at Columbia University and lives in New York.

Mgr. Blanka Návratová
Cultural manager, translator
Blanka Návratová is a cultural manager and translator of German and Italian. She connects cultures with enthusiasm, promotes the Czech cultural scene abroad, and helps people discover the history of her hometown, Brno. She has served as program director of the Meeting Brno festival and as director of the Czech Center in Munich. In collaboration with the Arnošt Lustig Foundation, she organizes activities in Austria, oversees the Young HUMAN-ists literary competition, and manages the Brno program of FestivAL100.
Bc. Jaroslava Trnková, DiS.
Coordinator of festival events for Prague and the Central Bohemian Region
She graduated from the College of Economics in Prague and the Faculty of Humanities at Charles University. As part of her studies, she spent six months at the University of Marburg in Germany. For the past twenty years, she has lived in Belgium, the United States, and the Czech Republic, maintaining an openness to different cultures and ways of thinking.
She worked for CzechTrade and the Permanent Representation of the Czech Republic to the EU. She later expanded her experience in coordination and international cooperation by teaching and managing libraries at Czech schools abroad for five years. She finds great joy in literature and the vibrant energy that books can awaken in people.

Historian
Zuzana Maléřová is a specialist in creating historical texts that captivate and enrich readers. Thanks to her experience as a curator at the Hlučín Museum, she can sensitively capture and convey human destinies with deep understanding. As the executive editor of the local history magazine Hlučínsko, she writes and edits professional and popular science articles. For the Arnošt Lustig Foundation, she prepares key information and communicates it effectively to reach the right audience.

Event manager and social media specialist
Natalie Petrovičová graduated from the bachelor’s program at the University of Economics in Prague and is now pursuing her master’s degree there. She is an ambitious and creative student who aspires to perform meaningful work. She has published her own collection of poems and believes art is a driving force in the world, capable of connecting generations without words. She works in marketing and sees more than just numbers. She is fluent in English and French and determined to learn Spanish and German. She enjoys communicating with people and organizing events. She brings attention to detail, humanity, and her own perspective to every project.

Mgr. Beatrix Korbačková
Graphic designer
Beatrix Korbačková graduated from the School of Applied Arts and P. J. Šafařík University, both in Košice, with a degree in graphic design. Through her graphic design studio, Trixi-grafika, she transforms her clients’ ideas into original, comprehensible designs. Her designs support meaningful projects with a broader impact. For the Arnošt Lustig Foundation, she designs the visual style and consistent identity of promotional materials and exhibitions.
