Ke stému výročí narození Arnošta Lustiga se v prostorách Moravské zemské knihovny otevřou dveře nově zřízené tematické Knihovny Arnošta Lustiga. Při této příležitosti budou také oceněni autoři a autorky vítězných příspěvků literární soutěže Mladí HUMAN-isté a bude spuštěn webový portál „Svět Arnošta Lustiga“, zachycující v krátkých textech nejdůležitější místa na jeho životní cestě. V Galerii Moravské zemské knihovny slavnostně zahájíme novou putovní výstavu „Arnoštova cesta“, vycházející z grafického románu Markéty Pilátové a Elišky Podzimkové. Výstava vznikla ve spolupráci s Památníkem Terezín.

What comes to mind when you hear the name Arnošt Lustig?
Perhaps not much, perhaps nothing , and that would be a shame. FestivAL100, an international celebration of humanity, is being created to mark the 100th anniversary of Arnošt Lustig’s birth. The program conveys a message about the power of humanity as reflected in his work.
At the same time, it emphasizes inalienable human rights, without which “man is just an animal that speaks human language.”
